This meeting was a particularly emotional one for our members. Heather Seddon, our Chair and inspiring and gifted member for many years stood down due to ill-health. She was presented with a bouquet and gave an uplifting farewell speech. Heather will be very much missed.
Ten members were treated to a tapestry weaving workshop with Anna Wetherall from Lakes and Lancs Guild, which began with a short foray outside to find leaves for colour and shape inspiration before embarking on a good few hours solid weaving. Members learned new techniques and methods and everyone was happy with their small but beautiful results. Many thanks to Anna for coming.
Those not involved enjoyed the usual catch up and a good shared lunch.
